George Barnes

George Barnes is the Vice Chair of the Stutsman County Human Rights Coalition. George previously was in the telephone/communications industry until he retired after 27 years. He also served in the ND National Guard for 20 years and was a car sales/lease consultant for 7 years. George was the organizer for American Federation of Teachers for 7 years. He is a lifetime member of the American Legion and AMVETS and is presently working part time as a Protective Service Officer. George is also currently serving on the City of Jamestown Veteran’s Committee for ND CARES. He has been married to Jackie for 48 years and they have two sons and four grandchildren. Finally, he is a committed member of First United Presbyterian Church.
